Wheels free...

This week, Joshua asked me again to remove the training wheels off of his bike. Over the past couple of weeks I had noticed that he is rarely using the training wheels as he rides balancing more on the two main tires.

I was adjusting a couple other things on his bike and decided to let him try his bike without the trainers.

I held the bike for him as he got on and then walked two steps as he started pedaling. That was all it took!

He hasn't looked back. Easily riding his bike and enjoying the freedom that comes from being able to corner and occasionally fall down.

Nature standing still

Well, that's what it looks like. The camera just took the picture at an interesting instant in time. It was fun to watch these guys for a few minutes. They would quite often start off at the high end of the feeder and then fly to the middle one and finally, to the hole which was on the right-hand side of the photo. Because the feeder was tilted, they were finding that they couldn't easily get anything on the high side.
