Toothless fish

We stopped by a "Fish therapy" place where we found interesting types of fish.

There was a pool of fish which eat human skin cells. So, you dangle your feet in the pool (or get in completely) and these fish come and chew the old skin off of your body. Yeah, sounds kind of weird, but it's cool.

We all stuck our hands in the pool (except for Joel, who couldn't be convinced) and was a neat sensation to have the fish come up and nibble your hands.

Ths owner heard about this type of thing being used in Japan to help people relax and so he ordered a bunch to start a business here.

The fish that Joshua is touching are a different type which help with blood flow as they suck on your skin, unlike the others which actually bite the skin off.

Rare flowers

We were up in Papallacta for the morning and Marlene saw these flowers. The plant is almost white and blooms very infrequently. When she saw the flowers, the camera came out!

The cowboys

We were in the valley the other day and the boys wanted to try riding a horse again, so here they are!

It's been a couple of years since they had last done it and so were able to enjoy it more this time.

Art from the Lion King

Joshua drew this freehand

(I checked as I couldn't believe how well it was done! Indeed, it was a slightly differently size from the picture he was copying it from.)

Ministries

This pas weekend, our church held its ministry fair where there are stands representing each of the ministries in the church. The idea is to make people aware of the various ministries of the church, but also to encourage people to get involved.

When Marlene and I arrived, we each had thought we knew where we were going.

Marlene was going to help with the Evangelism stand and I was going to the Men's Ministry area.

But, God had other plans.

When we found out that the Prayer and Intercession stand had no one there, we went and started praying with the people.

What a time of encouragement. Not what we had anticipated, but we pray that God used our willingness to go where we were needed to bless others.
