If you love me...

“If you love me, you will obey what I command. And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another counselor to be with you forever the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know him, for he lives with you and will be in you.” John 14:15

Jesus teaches us that we can’t separate love from obedience. He gives us the Counselor or Holy Spirit who provides guidance for our lives. The Holy Spirit is characterized by truth and when people accept Jesus as their savior and Lord, they receive the Holy Spirit. Then they can begin to love and obey. We pray that the Holy Spirit shows you the truth. Amen.
