Here's a picture of the Guayaquil airport by night. Not the airport that I wanted to see in Ecuador.
Quito airport was closed because of fog when we were coming in for landing. We went into a holding pattern north of Quito for about 20 minutes before diverting to Guayaquil.
After we landed the pilot announced that we were just going to refuel and head back to Quito.
The good news is that the fog has now lifted and we will be getting to Quito tonight. The bad news is that it will be a short night!
