May 18th was a bit different than normal in the south of Quito. Instead of the nice sunny morning we've been having of late, it hailed. And hailed. And continued until it looked like a scene from Canada in winter.Traffic was a huge problem as everyone just stopped. I've only seen hail a few times here in Quito and the most I have ever seen was just a couple of inches. Usually it melts right away as it continues to rain.
Strange, eh?
